Alex Murray: A Feline Therapist You Can Rely On
I have had intuitive perceptions since childhood, which meant that I was sensitive to people’s energy and the environment around me. When I started my professional career, I worked in advertising sales for almost 20 years, but I lost my job due to corporate restructuring.
I was great at what I did, but I realized that I never really enjoyed my work because I didn’t feel like I was helping anyone in a meaningful way. I felt the need to reinvent myself and look for new career opportunities.
At the time, I was under a lot of stress, and I wasn’t sure what to do. I then met a few people who introduced me to new ways of relaxing, recharging, and rebalancing myself through methods such as meditation, channeling, chakra balancing, and Reiki. I immediately noticed results and felt better after these various treatments.
With the help of some courses about these practices, I discovered that I had a latent talent in energy healing work. By reconnecting to those intuitive feelings and perceptions from my childhood, I realized my purpose in life was to share this gift of healing to help other people.
For a few years, I provided services that catered to people who had problems such as stress or grief. While treating them, I realized that their animals also needed my help. When I started working with pets, I felt a very strong connection to cats. This is what led me to help them with their behavioural or emotional problems.
Why the Grasshopper?
Grasshoppers are often seen as symbols of good health, peace, happiness, courage, and progressiveness. These animals can spring into action and jump large distances into unknown territory—they take a leap of faith where others fear to tread. I think of myself as the grasshopper that will jump around town and travel to my clients to bring them and their pets healing and peace.
